Bro partnered with Defence Unlimited to deliver practical self-defence training and safety awareness for women. The event brought together community members, safety professionals, and the Bro team to create meaningful conversations around personal safety and confidence.
Training that builds confidence
Participants learned practical techniques and situational awareness from experienced instructors. The workshop was designed to be accessible, empowering, and grounded in real-world scenarios women face every day across South African cities.
Removing barriers to attendance
Alongside the workshop, Bro facilitated free rides for women attending the event, helping remove transportation barriers while supporting a safer experience from door to door.
Safety beyond the app
For us, safety is not just something inside the app. It is something we invest in across the communities we serve. Partnerships like this are how Bro shows up for women before, during, and after every trip.
